I just saw one great movie tonight. And I'm sleeping with these two lessons in mind:
1. All the time travel in the world can't make someone love you.
2. We're all travelling through time together every day of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride.
About Time is plain and simple. The film is really about time. And it (time) being probably the greatest expression of love, then it's safe to say that the story is all about love - love for family, love for friends, love for spouse, love for children, love for self, love for life itself.
If there's one thing we all have in equal amount, that would have to be time (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks in a year). The difference lies in how we make use of what we have. :)
I couldn't say it any better than Tim did: "I just try to live everyday as if I've deliberately come back to this one day to enjoy it as if it was the full final day of my extraordinary, ordinary life."
Now about love, I really loved the song before the credits. :)
How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you
And longer, if I can.
How long will I need you?
As long as the seasons need to
Follow their plan.
How long will I be with you?
As long as the sea is bound to
Wash upon the sand.
How long will I want you?
As long as you want me to
And longer by far.
How long will I hold you?
As long as your father told you,
As long as you can.
How long will I give to you?
As long as I live through you
However long you say.
How long will I love you?
As long as stars are above you
And longer, if I may.
Since this is about time, let me end this post with these beautiful verses from the Bible:
A Time For Everything (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
There is a given time for everything and a time for every happening under heaven:
A time for giving birth, a time for dying;
A time for planting, a time for uprooting.
A time for killing, a time for healing;
A time for knocking down, a time for building.
A time for tears, a time for laughter;
A time for mourning, a time for dancing.
A time for throwing stones, a time for gathering stones;
A time for embracing, a time to refrain from embracing.
A time for searching, a time for losing;
A time for keeping, a time for throwing away.
A time for tearing, a time for sewing;
A time to be silent and a time to speak.
A time for loving, a time for hating;
A time for war, a time for peace.
Now it's about time to sleep. :) Good night, beloved! ♥
