"The time has come; the kingdom of God is at hand. Change your ways and believe the Good News." (Mark 1:15)
Repentance came from the Greek word "metanoia" which literally means change of mind. To repent is not simply being sorry for one's sins but taking concrete actions to amend one's life. However, repentance alone is not enough; we are also called to believe and have faith in both the Messenger (Jesus Christ) and the Message (Scripture). Repentance and faith always go together - they are the marks of a true Christian, the response to God's eternal, merciful, and unconditional love. :)
