During the Jesus Week, Sr. Josefina shared a devotion promoted by Pope Francis himself, the devotion to the Blessed Mother under the title "Mary, Undoer of Knots" (or Mary Who Unties Knots). Last Sunday, I was able to get a copy of the Philippine Edition (edited by Fr. Domie Guzman, SSP) of Fr. Juan-Ramon Celeiro's Novena in Honor of Mary Who Unties Knots.
What I liked about it, aside from the cathechesis on praying to and through the Virgin Mary, is the contemplation on the actual image, a painting that was commissioned as an ex-voto, an offering of thanksgiving for a favor received. The painting can still be seen today at the Church of Sankt Peter am Perlach in Augsburg, Germany.

I encourage you to contemplate on the image and allow the Lord to speak to you. :) But allow me to share this beautiful Prayer in Honor of Mary Who Unties Knots:
Dear Mary, you who truly untie knots, pray for us.
Purest of Virgins, mighty Lady clothed with the light of grace, hear our anguished cry. Mary, who walk at our side in bare feet, you are well aware of the stones along our paths. Present my prayers to the Lord: I am confident that your imploring voice will reach Him. God will listen to my requests.
Our Lady of Fair Love and Good Hope, with total confidence I abandon into your hands the weight of the chains that overwhelm me. Untie these painful knots and transform them into fruit of peace. In this way, I will sing with the psalmist: "Protect us in the shadow of your wings" (Ps 17:18), for "the love of your precepts is sweeter than honey," "delightful is the fragrance of your ointments," "raise me up by your side and I will have joy." "You are all-beautiful, O Mary, and there is no stain in you" (cf. Sgs 4:17).
O Loving Mother, before your mighty name the forces of Satan tremble. You are the lily of eternal valleys, the sure path. Fill us with your love, take us into your comforting and loving arms, let the light of your peace shine upon us.
Today, I begin the novena to Mary, Undoer of Knots. :) Aside from my personal novena, I also joined John-Paul and Annie of PrayMoreNovenas.com. Today, we pray that the Blessed Virgin Mary will untie the knots of violence in our lives and in our world. We especially pray for the persecuted Church and all of those who are being martyred for their faith.
Pray with us. :) If you're not able to start today, you can begin your praying the novena on your own. Click here for the complete Novena Prayers. :)
"We present our difficulties, our Knots to her, especially the ones which affect the Christian life of our Family."
(Pope Francis, then Archbishop Jorge Mario Bergoglio, SJ)
