While listening to the radio this morning, my heart skipped a beat upon hearing this: Manila Cathedral, muling magbubukas ngayong Abril. ♥♥♥
I've always loved the Manila Cathedral. From the moment I first stepped foot on its holy grounds sometime in 2000, I've already told myself that I wouldn't get married anywhere else but there. My hopes were lost when I learned that it was closed for renovation and thus, weddings were no longer allowed until the completion of the reconstruction. So when I saw the Transfiguration Chapel in Caleruega, I told myself, "sige, pwede namang dito na lang."
Asa naman kasi ako masyadong ikakasal ako bago matapos ang paggawa ng Manila Cathedral. Haha. Assuming much. :D
But really, I'm happy to know that rehabilitation is finally over! According to news, the renovated cathedral looks brighter with more lights and refurbished chandeliers. And did I mention it has thirteen (13) chandeliers?! I just had to emphasize that. :)
Formal reopening of the cathedral will be on April 9, Wednesday. The program will begin with a video presentation highlighting the two-year restoration process. It will be followed by a mass which will be celebrated by no less than His Eminence Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, Archbishop of Manila.
I can't make it on April 9. But I am definitely going to see Manila Cathedral next month! I'm excited to get that "feeling" again. :)
Manila Cathedral: Where I wish to tie the knot. :) |
But then again, not my will, but God's will be done. After all, His plans are grander than mine. :)
Speaking of marriage, I just love this very informative video from GMA News TV:

I've also got some helpful tips on preparing to get married here: Getting Married
And if you're also planning to seal the deal at Manila Cathedral, you might want to check out their website:

I'm not just sure if the published rates are still applicable. But I'm expecting them to go higher because of the renovations. :)
For now, I'll be content in wishing and praying and hoping and working hard to make those wishes come true. Because with God, nothing is impossible! ♥
