RED SHIRT DAY! ♥ |
Let me tell you the story behind this photo. :)
As mentioned in my previous post, we attended (and led) the pilot Intimacy Weekend of Metro Manila. During the last day of the retreat, we were both wearing the "Pusong Maroonong Magmahal" shirt which I bought as a birthday gift for him (and yes, an early birthday gift for myself too). Thanks to my dear friend Rona who gave me the contact number of the merchant. :) And the thing about it is that we really didn't talk about what to wear that day. Nagkataon lang talaga or maybe just a clear indication that we're really compatible. :D
And what about the McDonalds treat? Well, right after the Intimacy Weekend, we hurried to Antipolo for our CLP talks (10 & 11). On our way home, we thought of having dinner at United Steaks in Sta. Lucia but because we were carrying a lot of stuffs, we decided to just drop off our things first. When we arrived home, Mama is already preparing for dinner and so we just stayed and ate home-cooked meal. :) During dinner, Mama shared that she didn't understand a thing at their CLP session the other night because their speaker wasn't feeling well. And so she requested that I explain to them (Papa and her) the topic (CLP Talk 8: Life in the Holy Spirit). Quite funny but yeah, we had a "mini-CLP" at home. :)
Because it was a CLP, of course there was food. Thus, the McDo meals. :)
It's truly an honor to serve my parents through that simple activity and I thank the Lord for giving me the opportunity to proclaim His greatness. :) By the way, the opening prayer led by Lawrence was very touching too. Papa requested that he prayed in Filipino, and he did, and I felt his sincerity especially when he said that he feels that our home is his second home, and my family is his second family. :)
I feel the same way too and I could only pray that someday soon, we would also be able to invite his parents to CFC and conduct a "mini-CLP" in their home. :) In God's time. ♥
One of God's greatest blessings: Papa & Mama enjoying their service for the Lord. (Mama is wearing her ushers uniform.) ♥ |
