February Wins ❤️

So we're on the last day of the second month and just like last month, there's also a lot to be thankful for. ❤️ Let's begin with the basics - the gift of life and health. 🙂 Despite my frequent visits to the hospital (just like today), I didn't experience anything serious enough to land me on a hospital bed. So I take it as a positive sign that I am truly on my way to healing and wholeness. Thank God for the everyday strength and protection not just for me but for my husband and the rest of our families as well. ❤️ Next is my career. I'm loving my progress at work so far. I am able to finish what I commit and sometimes more. 🙂 I am also grateful to my manager for enrolling me in trainings and workshops that are enriching not just intellectually, but also emotionally. 🙂 Thank God for the gift of work and the opportunities to grow in the different aspects of life. ❤️ And of course there's the beautiful gift of marriage (and relationships). As days...

God First ❤️

I just finished my second book for 2020 and it's amazing how it affirms everything I learned from the first book ( Whole Again ). Also, I finished it while waiting for my turn at the doctor's clinic. 😁 Book #2 for 2020. 😊 Here are 10 of my biggest takeaways: 1. You cannot "compartmentalize" physical fitness in one category of your being and spiritual fitness in another - every facet of your life has an impact on the person you are today and the person you will become tomorrow. 2. When you face concerns of any sort - including health-related challenges - God is with you. And His healing touch, like His love, endures forever. 3. Faith Above Feelings: "Emotions we have not poured out in the safe hands of God can turn into feelings of hopelessness and depression. God is safe." 4. If your willpower has failed you on numerous occasions, then it's time to turn your weaknesses over to God. If you've been having trou...

Whole Again ❤️

I am writing (typing) this with so much joy and gratitude because earlier this week, I went to see my doctor who announced the good news that I don't have the big C. 😍 Actually, one of my proudest moments in January was when this same doctor explained to me the results of my ultrasound and the possibility of me having cancer. My old worrier self would have already cried a river upon hearing it. But by the amazing grace of God, I calmly listened and agreed to have the biopsy done. 💪 The last thing my doctor told me before I left his clinic was, "let's pray it's not malignant." 🙏 Honestly, even before he said it, I was already at the point of total surrender. And because I have entrusted the results to the Lord, I was confident that He would hear our prayer. God knows all the hell I've been through during my last surgery, and I know He knows too well that the last thing I want is to undergo another surgery. God is a God of mercy, and it pains Him too w...

January Wins ❤️

It's just the first month of the year but SO MUCH has happened it feels like it's not just 31 days. But despite everything, there's still a lot to be grateful for because God is an awesome and faithful God. ❤️ Source: GodTV.com And so tonight, I'd like to focus on our wins for the beginning of 2020... 1. I reached my target weight of 40kgs (because I only weighed 38kgs at the start of the month, I weighed even less back in December). 🙂 2. I am now able to poop smoothly without taking any laxative. I can't tell the details but believe me it's really a big win for me (and for us), especially after the surgery. 🙂 3. I did not file any SL for this month! (After being on medical leave for the whole month of December, I swear this is a major achievement!) It helped that the hospital is just a tricycle ride away from our home and a bus ride away from our office. I can easily go to work after my consultations and procedures. 🙂 4. I finished ...

Happy Birthday ❤️

Last Tuesday, I turned 33 (though I'm still feeling 22 😅) and it's my first time to celebrate my birthday as Paolo's wife. 😊 So today , allow me to share what it's like to spend my special day as a married woman. When I got out of the bathroom, Pao was already holding this beautiful cake. 😍  Good thing  I didn't open the ref the night before. Otherwise, I would have spoiled his surprise. 😁 But because my husband is such a genius, may "Plan B" daw siya. Thus, the note. 😂 We had a delightfully sweet breakfast. 🥰 While I was washing the dishes, my husband was busy installing our towel rack. Then I did the laundry while he was installing the window blinds. For lunch, I decided to cook noodles (for long life 😁). And my "misis" heart was very happy when Paolo commented, "para akong nasa restaurant." 🥰🥰🥰 You see my husband is the better version of myself, and it's not an exaggeration to...

Seven Reasons Why ❣️

It's been seven months since I married the man of my dreams and every day, I discover something about him that makes me fall in love even harder. Today, let me share seven (of the many) reasons why I always say that I married the best man. 😊 One of our ninangs said that we must always have that "bilib" for our partner. And everyday, Paolo shows something really admirable. I just hope and pray I am able to do the same. ❣️ 1-3: He cares for all living things - humans, plants, and animals.  He cooks our meals and prepares our baon  for work. He buys me things he knows I need even if I don't ask him to. He looks not just after my welfare but he is also genuinely concern about everyone we come in contact with. He is full of gentleness and compassion. He doesn't want to cause any inconvenience to anyone. Most of the time, he gives way. He's a defensive driver, a reliable friend, a loving son and sibling, a passionate and practical man. More than any...

Freedom to Dream ♥

As we commemorate the 121 st Philippine Independence, I celebrate my own FREEDOM ...  ...TO DREAM. 😊 Two months ago, I attended the first Freedom to Dream Summit organized by the Viviamo team (thanks Ms. Dar and your awesome girls!). Until now I'm reaping the fruits of that summit. Trixie hosted the first ever Freedom to Dream Summit. ❤️ I got to talk to two amazing coaches, Coach Rezza and Coach Celine. With their help, I learned a lot about myself, what truly matters, what I really want in life. Since the summit, I've been more enthusiastic and more determined to not just dream, but dream big dreams, to challenge myself, and to really make things happen. ❣️ And today, friends, I'm happy to say that, by the grace of God, I am slowly but surely "living the dream." I am actively pursuing my greatest passions, and while I still have a lot of room for improvement, I can say that I'm making significant progress day by day. One tiny ste...
