Take Away the Rest ❤️

You have everything to give You are everything we need Oh just be with me My Lord And take away the rest Take away the rest Tonight I cried a little bit more during Holy Communion. I highlighted that part of the song which caused me almost a liter of tears.  See, we're going through a lot these days. Our weekends have been spent mostly at Makati Med for checkups and procedures that don't seem to end. It's tiring, and costly (thank God for health cards and insurances). And I can't help but be frustrated every time I'm given a new prescription or a new order (sobrang suki na ako ng lab at radiology) . My greatest worry is my husband. We've been married for three months ( pa lang ) and he already had to deal with all these stuff. Actually, he's no longer new to this. He's been with me since my first ever surgery back in November 2015 (while we were still 'just friends'). He has seen me at my worst and he has been a constant wit...

Dear February, Thank You for the Love ❤️

February just went by so quickly but before I say goodbye to the Love Month, let me first share three (of the many reasons) why I thank the Lord for giving me the Love of my life, my wonderful husband. 😊 1. While praying after receiving Holy Communion, I was not able to hold back my tears. After the mass, my husband asked, "may kasalanan ba ako?" I swear he was super cute. 😍 He was so worried he might have done or said something I did not like. I smiled and told him the reason why I got a little emotional (and just to set things straight, it wasn't because of him 🙂). I thank the Lord for giving me a husband who pays attention to my thoughts and emotions and makes sure he does nothing that would upset me (and if he does, he'd quickly apologize and make up for it). ❤️ 2. A friend had to sleep over due to personal commitments. My husband set up the bed and made sure everything is ready before our guest arrives. Also, there was a time when one of our housemate...

Two on Two 💕

Today, the 2nd day of the 2nd month, Pao and I are celebrating our 2nd month as a married couple, and I am writing my 2nd post for the year. 😍 I initially wanted to share my January highlights and/or something about our wedding, but since we're still sorting the official photos (and waiting for the others), I'll save that post for later 😁. For now, let me share a more timely content. Actually, this post has been on my Draft folder since 2016. But I guess it wasn't meant to be posted until now. 😊 Soooo, here it goes! Happy February! 💕 Secrets To A Happy, Lasting Marriage ♥ During a mass with the cadets, PMA Chaplain Fr. Leonides Cruel, shared 8 secrets to a happy and lasting marriage based on the letters of the word itself:  M utual Understanding . We acknowledge the reality that the husband and the wife are two completely different, unique individuals. They have different beliefs and opinions but what would keep them together is mutual agreement and unde...

No Perfect Time But NOW!

I've been wanting to write again... Blog again. But life has been so overwhelming (in a good way) lately I didn't know where to begin. I didn't know what to write.  This weekend, however, I had this strong urge to JUST WRITE. All along I was waiting for the "perfect time" when actually, there's no better time than NOW!  I downloaded the Wordpress app but I realized I don't need to start all over again from scratch. I can simply revive this blog. 😊 I can't promise anything but I'll try my best. So help me God. 🙏❤️ Time to fulfill one of my goals this year! Let's get this thing going! 🤞 Image Source: The Creative Penn

Surprise! ♥

A new month has come!  Welcome to the Second Quarter! ♥ This afternoon, I got an unexpected call from a delivery man telling me he's waiting for me at the lobby. I wasn't expecting anything from anyone (not within this week) so I was a bit hesitant to go. But because I'm within the office premises, I know I'm safe so I decided to go out and check the package. Much to my surprise, the package was from takbo.ph !  Yeheee! I finally got my entitlements from last month's Women's Stride ! And I'm just soooo delighted to receive them!  This year, I resolved to be really serious about getting fit. Last January , I shared that I already attended the bootcamp to gain access to our Fitness Center. Aside from circuit training, I also became more enthusiastic about running. In February, Paolo and I joined the AmCham Scholarun and were able to complete the 5k course in less than an hour.  Last month, I signed up for takbo.ph's Vir...

January: "Blessed" is an Understatement

Can you believe it's already the last day of January?  Oh how time flies! And if I were to summarize my whole month in one word, "blessed" is an understatement! Indeed I am! Thank you for this very affirming calendar, Ate Des! 😃 I am BEYOND BLESSED this month! The Lord has been soooooo good to me that I'm actually wondering what I did right to deserve everything that I have now. I am just so grateful! And God just proved once again that He cannot be outdone in generosity.  This month has truly been a time for new beginnings .  A lot of my prayers from the previous years were finally answered. ♥ I also got to finally do and accomplish some of my long-time resolutions such as attending the bootcamp and be serious about getting fit and healthy. In fact, I just came from the fitness center last night. 😁💪 God has been surprising me in a major way from the beginning of January up until today. And I know there's more to come. 😊 M...

Body Positivity: Love the Body You're In ♥

Sooooooo... This has been on my "draft" list since 2017. I have not been able to publish it because... I don't know. Haha. Today, after reading some of my previous posts in this tiny but amazing blog, I'm encouraged and inspired to keep on writing and sharing. :) Kaya naman, kahit "panis" na ang kwentong ito, I'll still share. The main message is timeless, anyway. ♥ ----------------------------------- *written sometime in 2017* True Story (back in April of this year): While Ate Imee was taking my measurements for the dress I'm going to wear on Rona's wedding... Me (upon seeing what she wrote on her notebook): Hay. 26 na lang waistline ko.
