Thank You, Lord! :)

It has been a long and stressful day (the past three days have been lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng and stressssssssssssssssssssssssssssssful), but You are just so amazing, Lord that I couldn't sleep without telling You how grateful I am. :)
Thank You, Lord for the miracle that You did yesterday. Break even and more. :)
Thank You, Lord for the laughter and stories shared during the post-mission meeting with Team Thailand. :)
Thank You, Lord for Lawrence. He is just the (almost) perfect man. He has his flaws, but they are acceptable; he makes mistakes, but they are all forgivable. There are a lot of men but there can never be anyone else. He's really the one. And You know it very well. :)
Thank You, Lord for giving me strength and endurance each day. :)
Thank You, Lord for the short but restful sleeps. :)
Thank You, Lord for every waking moment and every opportunity that You give me to proclaim Your greatness. :) Thank You, Lord for Your message through Fr. Frank. I heard it loud…

Note to Self :)

. . . and to those who need it. :)

PROMISE YOURSELF
To be so strong that nothingcan disturb your peace of mind.To talk health, happiness, and prosperityto every person you meet.
To make all your friends feelthat there is something in them.To look at the sunny side of everythingand make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.To be just as enthusiastic about the success of othersas you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the pastand press on to the greater achievements of the future. To wear a cheerful countenance at all timesand give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourselfthat you have no time to criticize others. To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world, not in loud words but great deeds. To live in faith that the whole world is on …

Lost and Found (Day 5 in Bangkok)

[June 6]

Such is the title because once again, we got lost in Bangkok. :D We were supposed to go to MBK but we rode the bus to Ratchapruek instead of going to Sathorn. And we only realized it after the third or fourth station. Those of you who are familiar with the transport system in Bangkok, there's what they call the BRT. It's a public transportation (bus) with it's own lane (special lane) that brings commuters from Sathorn all the way to Ratchapruek. So we got down at the wrong platform and just decided to get off at the last station and work our way from there. We knew we were going far from the city when we passed by the bridge that crosses Chao Phraya. We tried to see what's in store in each of the station that we pass by but we found nothing interesting until we reached the terminal station where The Mall is located.

Instead of MBK, God brought us to The Mall, one of the malls owned by the princess, so they say. It's such a happy thought that we were able t…

The Pine, Lumpini, and Getting Lost (Day 4 in Bangkok)

[June 5]
By 2pm, we were fetched by the driver assigned to Kuya Nemboy and we headed to Pathum Thani to check the venue for the Knights Tale and Princess Diaries this weekend. The Pine Resort is where we're supposed to have the Global Leaders Summit last year. Unfortunately, it was one of the flooded areas at that time and so the summit was held in Juntra instead.
Upon arrival, we were each given a cold glass of water as a welcome token. After discussing the details of our reservation, Ate Veron paid for the initial deposit and we were then brought to the conference room and activity area.
The conference room is quite spacious and they say could accommodate up to 150 persons.
When we reached the activity area, there were some girl and boy scouts from an international school happily performing their tasks. And I could only wish we'll have time for teambuilding activities too. You see the Princess Diaries schedule is a bit hectic because there's really A LOT to discuss. An…

Great Finds (Day 3 in Bangkok)

[June 4]
Day 3 in Bangkok started slow as I was still recovering from sickness. We just spent most of the day at home, keeping in touch with our family and friends in the Philippines. Thanks to Facebook and Skype, we're still connected with our dearest ones. :)
For dinner, we tried to explore the many options just outside the condo. And we ended up having a sumptuous meal at Charlie Brown's. :) Super delicious, super affordable, big servings, and super great customer service. :) They also have a free wi-fi! Really a great place to chill and dine. Here's a word of caution, though: ask first if what you would like to order is spicy (especially if you don't like spicy food). I ordered for a soup which looked very delicious. When I tasted it however, I never had the courage to eat it again. It's just too spicy. Good thing I only got a little. But overall, I loved the Charlie Brown's experience. And to make it more of a romantic dinner date, Lifehouse's You and …

Health Alert (Day 2 in Bangkok)

[June 3]
Day 2. Morning.
I woke up with high fever and headache again. And it's no longer tolerable so Ate Veron accompanied me to Bangkok Christian Hospital. She said it isn't a first-class hospital in Bangkok but I'd say that it's definitely world-class. Though the nurses have a hard time speaking English, they are all very friendly and accommodating. I got checked by Dr. Jedsada (his last name is quite long) and the first question that he asked was, "Do you go to the jungle or the forest?" I said no. He asked me to remove my jacket to see if there are rashes. Because as I said in my previous post, I've had on and off high fever. He found none and then he checked on my throat. There he found out that I have exudative tonsilitis. I don't find it hard to swallow and I don't feel anything in my throat except when I cough. Dr. Jedsada said that it all manifested in the high fever and the headache. He advised that I take the injection aside from the o…

Amazing God in Amazing Thailand (Day 1 in Bangkok)

Pre-departure.
On April 30, when I went back to work after a four-day vacation in Iloilo, I was told of a news that shocked and excited me at the same time. Kuya Shok and Ate Junie told me that I'm going to Thailand for mission, specifically for Princess Diaries. Thank God I was able to come up with a team in less than a month. There are really a lot of SFCs who are generous of their time, talent, and treasure. :)
On May 30, two days before my scheduled flight, I went home with high fever and terrible headache. The following day, I didn't report to work and just stayed home to get some rest. The whole day of the 31st, I was feeling okay but during the night, I felt a little sick again. On June 1, I woke with high fever and terrible headache again. I wasted no time and went immediately to the doctor. She gave me medicines and advised me to return after two days, especially if the fever is persistent. I told her I'm going to Thailand for mission so she required me to underg…
